When not to call on the services of IECI ?

There are certain types of assistance that IECI prefers not to get involved in.

Here are a few examples:
• Market research and external strategy
• Benchmarking and staffing level simulations
• Development of I.T. systems that are not closely related to job content issues
• Implementation of standardized methodologies eg. PERT for project management, 5S rollout, SMED, etc. where there is no significant resistance to change or evolution in work practise
• Performance appraisal of managers
• Outplacement

In the same way IECI does not intervene to:

"Sell" management messages to personnel in a uniquely top-down communication process.
Why?
• This is management’s own role; IECI works on the processes that will develop ownership and set things in motion. We focus as much on the bottom-up as on the top-down processes
Assist in "cosmetic" concertation efforts designed for window dressing purposes and/or help get your personnel to reinvent what you have already decided to do.
Why?
• We refuse half-baked measures and false participation: we take great pride in our skill at giving a voice to all the players resulting in greater ownership and changes which are seen through to the end.
Collect information about one of your competitors
Why?
• Obviously, IECI guarantees complete confidentiality to its clients on all aspects of the missions undertaken.
